Mavrick MonDay

So, what another great day. *knocks on wood*

This morning I got up at 5:50, did all the regular grooming and headed downtown. Its still amazing to me that people have not grasped the concept of driving on I-70... its basically... put your foot down and lookout for people around you who dont know how to drive. I mean there are no cars coming on or off, just heading all the way downtown. Whatever.. It'll be so nice when its done.

Got home from school and my wife and I had made plans to wash our cars together... we are jsut so romantic... I know. So she had to clean her room so i took a nap... Greta called... lol We'll deal with that more as the week goes on. We didnt talk. I napped for a bit... and Sarah came over. It was nice and toasty outside... nice... but hot. We washed my car first.. Sarah had the hose and she enjoyed spraying me with it... lol My car finished up and dried and then we did her car. Mid way through i thought it would be funny to start spraying her with the hose... a lot. So she dumped a bucket of Roadkill water on me... it was gross. lol So i kept on spraying her... so she got the Dawn Apple Blossom ( cuz the name is sooo important and all) dish soap and she soaked my back with it from behind.. lol nice work.. so instead of frekaing out... I just started rubbing it around... got a nice lather going... lol and then she poured more into my hair... so i rubbed that around too... it was quite fun.

Needless to say... I have a lovely scent of Dawn Apple Blossom tonight... :]

Ate dinner and headed to Starbucks on Allisonville and 96th Street to cplay some cards with Sarah, Mandi and Cait. Geez I love hanging with them all. So laid back and definitely a good time. We played three games of Euchre... Mandi and I won the tourny. Oh did i meantion Mandi and I went to Walgreens and bought JUMBO cards and she got a buncha Dove chocolate? lol we all enjoyed those little perks. :]

Did a little after hours spying and headed home LOL.

Overall a great day! Well see how tomorrow goes.  Its IUPUI orientation tomorrow... as if im not already oriented... lol. Whatever... Ill need some strength for this all to work with you know who... but we'll make it work.

Here goes Day Two.

So if anyone realizes I might not be myself this week, Im about to explain why... so hold tight.

As most of you know you have I a great passion for The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. and color guard in general. I cant beleive that just a little over a year and a half ago I was one of those people who went to the football games to watch the game and see my friend in the marching band perform their show. I was introduced to color guard two summers ago by a good friend of mine... and I pretty much fell into love with it and I havent let go since. Color guard has definitely changed my life and a few was, some good and some bad, either way: Im happy.

This friend of mine also REintroduced me to the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. I grew up around the Cavaliers. I used to live in Mount Prospect, Illinois and I would see the Cavaliers in the parade on 4th of July in Park Ridge. I was little and I really didnt have much desire for them when I was small, because I didnt exactly know who they were or what they did. Now I know....

Thing have definitely changed, when this friend of mine introduced me to the color guard world he didnt hesitate to show me some of the Cavalier shows. As soon as saw them, there was a slight attachment I made again. They seemed so familiar to me...I didnt understand why, so I asked my parents. They explained to me I was around them a LOT when I was little. Through out the next couple of months I followed them closer, they won 2004 and I was like "WHOA! The Cavaliers win! ( alot)" and I was overly ammused with them ever since.

I dont enjoy the Cavaliers because they tend to win, I enjoy them because I have grown up with them and I think they have class, but thats my opinion. Thanksgiving is less than four days away and the Cavaliers auditions are five away... due to recent events I will NOT be attending the audition camp for the 2006 season. I wont be able to because of some money issues and what not at home.

As most of you know my mom had cancer and she is recovering, everything is recovering. The one thing that is recovering and is needed is money. Cancer is a VERY EXPENSIVE illness to get treated and it tends to take a toll on anyones bank account so thats given. I thank the Lord every day, multiple times, that my mother is still living and getting better. SO I have plenty to be thankful about.

I am depressed on the other hand that I wont be able to fullfill a goal that I set for myself last year. The goal: The join a D&B Corps, particularly the Cavaliers. Im not blaming that short coming on anyone but myself because it isnt anyone problem but my own.

Overall, I think this weekend will be hard for me because I personally have counted down the months, weeks and days to til the day after Thanksgiving and to partake in something I despirately want for myself. I want to be at those Audition and I want to be a part of the Cavalier color guard. and for me this year...  it simply wont happen.

So now you know, if I am a little down on myself this weekend, you all know why.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Well, until I saw that on my MySpace I was having one of those "alright" kinda days and that just made my day happy. I guess I can pretty much always count on Minnie Mouse to make my day happy cuz Sarah is just the shit! woooohoo! I love you honey you are the best! Thanks for adding some much needed sunlight to my day! ~ Mickey

So this morning I didnt get to sleep til a little after 5 am. I was up talking all night online, well, just for the fun of it really. Believe me... it was fun. Anyways, It was raining and thundering and stuff so i just feel asleep soon after we both got offline and what not.

So I pretty much slept the whole day... I got up for breakfast, went backt o sleep til noon, parents woke me up they were going to the store... i slept til 2... woke up again... and showered... lol and my mom invited me into the guest room to take a nap with her... so I did and i woke up at like.... 5 :15 LOL and then i headed to work... Work was slow so I came home and finished homework and now im here! wooohoo and you know what.. I think I might go back to sleep soon! LOL yesss

Dont you like it... ha I made it up... LOL

Woooohoooooo HSE beat CARMEL tonight 17 to 7! Way to GO HSE!  ( sorry Carmel friends LOL youve beaten us many times before, so im happy! So I appologize!)

Anyways, what a fun night! I got home from school and I talked to a few peeps online for a bit then got ready for work.

Work tonight started off slow and Bonnie and I went out with the signs and advertised for a bit on 96th street WE GOT 211 WAVES, one blown kiss and someone flipped us off... lol all in ONE hour!  pretty fun huh? Anyways It was slow so they let me leave early which was a plus cuz I was heading to the game in Carmel. Royals vs the Greyhounds... supposed to be a good game, considering HSE has gotten better or Carmel has gotten wose... dunno which but it was supposed to be tight...

I got there and it was packed...like expected. I called Brandon cuz I was meeting him there... he was like in the middle of the stands surrounded by people so I jsut found some other people to chill with. We saw Marching Greyhounds perform.. it was definitely a differant show than what I expected thats for sure. Its was good tho, so that was fun.

Well we won the game and Brandon called me and needed a ride back to SLDM so I turned around and got him and we waited in traffic... Miss Young came over to my car and wrote on it with that window paint... lol grrrr  while we were waiting in line to get out of the stupid parking lot... so I let her to show some school spirit.

We got out of the parking lot.... 40 minutes later... and we headed to the church, locked up and headed to starbucks... the whole way back to Fishers Brandon was singing....at Starbucks we were playing an age guessing game... I still think she was 14... lol lemme tell ya that kid is one of those people that makes my life worth while and enjoyable.

Anyways it was an excellent night! I work tomorrow and Sunday so Ill write more when I have the chance.

~Luke
